Our edge is that we have established contacts to get to the right events.  Recent projects include:

  • Tiree Wave Classic
As owners of the UK’s premier windsurfing competition, GMFCo’s skills are found in sponsorship exploitation, promotion and marketing, TV production and PR of the event. GMFCo have been running this event for 23 years each October and in 2007, The Tiree Wave Classic was awarded World Cup status.  2009’s sponsors are Skykon, Strathclyde Fire & Rescue, EventScotland, Highlands & Islands Enterprise and Argyll & Bute Council
  • The Coll Challenge
Pegged the ‘most remote adventure race in the UK’, GMFCo own the Coll Challenge – a tri-sport adventure race which takes place each October.  Sponsored by Caledonian MacBrayne in 2008 and 2009, the challenge involves running 3 miles over beautiful Gott Bay beach on Tiree, windsurfing from Tiree to Coll and then completing a gruelling half marathon race on a bike round the Isle of Coll
