Every October the elite of windsurfing come together on the tiny Scottish island
of Tiree to enjoy the challenge of ferocious Atlantic seas as part of their
quest to land the highly prized UKWA Triple Crown.
From modest beginnings this has now become one of the highlights of the Scottish
sporting calendar – and the biggest economic driver of the year for the
island.
As owners GMFCo's skills are found in sponsorship exploitation, promotion and
marketing, TV production, Marketing and PR of the event.
With coverage on the BBC and SKY, beaming stunning action pictures all over
the world. A huge cross section of the British print media visit the island
during the event and the events sponsors – which included Event Scotland,
the Argyll and Islands Development Board and The Sun newspaper receiving a
